Industry Project
The Industry Project aspect of the new Master of Science offers students practical insights into the workings of
relevant industry and business.
Students have the opportunity to address real-life industry challenges in syndicate groups.
The Industry Project is undertaken in the latter part of students study in the Master of Science and they are expected
to draw together discipline specific knowledge with business and communications professional tools training.
Feedback from Industry and potential employees has sent a strong message that they are looking for graduates who have
experience working in a team environment in varying capacities. This is a valuable training environment for students to gain
exposure to collaborative project learning. Work may be completed in the form of case studies, stimulated by input and leadership
from industry practitioners. As examples, students may be asked to complete an advocacy report or develop a business plan for
a new product.
The Industry Project is available to all students undertaking the professional development programs of Biotechnology,
Environmental Science, Management Science and Nanotechnology in the Master of Science.
