Master of Science - Biomedical & Health Sciences*

The Master of Science - Biomedical & Health Sciences program has been created
to offer graduates a new pathway into a research or other science based career
and/or PhD studies.
This program is an alternative to the Honours/PhD pathway. Students undertake a
research project and discipline-specific coursework subjects. In addition, a suite of
professional business and communication programs are offered to complement and enhance
your research and progress career opportunities.
Course structure
Discipline subjects
(50 or 100 points)
Depending upon the choice of research project, between 50 and 100 points
must be completed. Students may select subjects relevant to the proposed research project
(and approved by the program coordinator) from those within the Master of Science and Masters programs
offered by MDHS (subject to eligibility and pre-requisites).
Professional Tools
(25 or 37.5 points)
Students must complete between two and three Professional Tools subjects from the following list:
Research project
(75 points - minor or 125 points - major )
A minor or major project provides an opportunity for independent research covering
a broad range of topics within Biomedicine & Health Sciences.
Delivery mode and duration
Normally this is a 2 year full-time course, although part-time enrolment may be possible.
Please check with departments/schools at the time of application.
Entry requirements
A bachelor degree with a major in an appropriate discipline with at least an H3 (65%) in the major, or equivalent.
