Melbourne Graduate School of Science

Welcome

The staff of the Graduate School of Science gain approximately $22 million a year in competitive research grants, through peer-assessed grants, the Australian Research Council (ARC), the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and other national funding and industry agencies. Our international agenda includes joint research ventures, exchange of staff and students, recruitment of overseas students and the inclusion of a global perspective in curricula. Through the quality of its research and teaching, the Faculty enjoys a strong reputation, both nationally and internationally.

The University of Melbourne, with its new Melbourne Model, has increased the importance of graduate education.

In response, we have added new coursework Master of Science programs to our already strong suite of graduate opportunities.

We are in the middle of an exciting time for science in Australia and around the world, and we are committed to providing innovative education to our students in order to produce graduates of the highest quality that will be equipped to deal with our ever changing world.

We look forward to having you join us as part of the graduate community at the Melbourne Graduate School of Science.
